There are many types of solar water heaters in Bali with a wide range of prices. It is important when installing solar water heaters to understand the technology and principles that make them work. Incorrect installation may mean they do not work correctly. We are able to supply and install a range of solar water heater options.
With many years of experience in installing and servicing hot water systems we have considered all the options and believe that the WIKA solar water heater offers the most sensible solution for people considering buying a solar hot water system. For this reason we have made arrangements to supply, install and service WIKA systems in Bali.
There are, of course, a number of systems available that people may wish to consider. Some are high quality imported units such as Rheem and Solarhart. These tend to be of simple straight forward design and rugged construction. These imported products do, however, tend to be very expensive making it difficult for them to pay for themselves in the long term.
Other solar water heaters available in Indonesia tend to be of the glass tube collector types the majority of which are made in China and have a fundamental design problem caused by the difficulty of sealing the glass tubes where they enter the hot water tank - they must operate at normal air pressure. This means that the water supply pressure must be lowered as the water enters the tank and then a pressure pump must be added after the heater to push the water to taps and showers.
WIKA Solar water heaters use the same well proven rugged design as Rheem and Solarhart systems and are fully pressurised water systems as are standard electric and gas water heaters.
Being manufactured in Indonesia their cost becomes realistic giving reasonable payback periods (the time the cost of the electricity saved covers the cost of the heater) of around 6 years.
WIKA are "passive" systems meaning they operate by the natural convection process as the sun heats the water. This is a very simple concept that does not require a pump or other mechanical components that can go wrong.
WIKA have a proven track record and are installing 1,000 unit a month across the country.
